Thoughts on the Galaxy Watch 7
I took my time opening this one. I got it mainly for travel, but I like it so far, and the features are comparable to the Apple Watch.
This is my first Android wearable. I’ve had Apple Watches going back to the AW 4 up to now with the Ultra (I typically upgrade every 2-3 years). This was a heavily discounted pickup with the Galaxy S25 Ultra purchase and was too good of a price to pass up even if I only use occasionally.
I will try to wear and compare it more thoroughly, but I'm not quite ready to let go of the Apple stuff yet.
This purchase begs the question of whether I would like to use Android more. Or is it just because it's new right now?
Looks good on my arm. It's obviously less chunky than the ultra. The round face is a refreshing change from the square.
I am also interested in the classic model because I like the aesthetic of it. If there's any updated version this year I could see me looking to trade in for that one. Its even the type of watch I’d get to use without a smart phone, but I think that’s kind of crazy talk because a traditional watch that is in the same price range is likely a much more sound investment, will last longer and not need to be charged everyday.
Otherwise I think it has most of the same basic functions as the AW, with some slight differences to the health features.
