It is always a pleasure working with Julian. He is creative and excellent at bringing his client’s vision to fruition. In the work we have done together my ideas were always respected, but he also added to my vision to create something even better than what I could have come up with myself. Julian is professional, timely, and a wonderful talent.

GETTING THE LOOK

Location matters when determining the final look and feel of the images we create. Selecting the environment to shoot with is a critical part of the planning process, and I have extensive experience with shooting in a variety of locations and lighting scenarios.

Outdoor, natural light Environmental portraiture that utilizes our most trusted light source - the sun. There are a variety of urban and green locations in town that we can use free of charge.

Your location, indoors If you prefer to shoot at home, at work, or have access to a specific place that fits the look you want for your images.

Studio, classic light This is known as "high-key" lighting. We shoot in a local photography studio with a clean white or grey backdrop.

THE FINISHING TOUCH

The main goal of any retouch is to remove the appearance that an image has been "doctored". However, it is often necessary to correct - or should I say enhance - an image to bring it to completion. I offer 2 levels of retouching as an optional add-on to any image that I create here:

Basic Retouching
This includes basic blemish removal and lightweight skin smoothing, as well as color enhancement and cropping.

Advanced retouching
A more detailed retouch that can include heavy skin retouching, body modification, removal of background elements, or other adjustments as we see fit. This can be arranged for a small group of images from the shoot.

NOTE: Not everything can be fixed in Photoshop, but we’ll quote things on an individual basis depending on what’s needed.
