Sunday evening by the lake
An impulsive drive by Whiterock lake to mainly get a walk in, but also test out an extremely dark VND filter. I accidentally stumbled upon the concept of shooting in broad daylight at f1.2.

These frames were captured on the Canon 5D3 with the 50mm f1.2 Lens.
Field Notes:
Testing with new VND and Cinebloom at the same time
The exposures are hard to control with this setup. It's either too dark or to light. If I think I'm going to use this means more I should get an ND filter that is lighter.
But the darker ND allows for shooting at 1.2 in sunlight which provided some interesting effects.
The fix is to up the iso to 400-1000.
Feels weird to go higher iso and lower aperture in daylight / evening sun but it allows me to use the lens wide open outdoors if that's the desired effect.
Cinebloom 20%
The effect is much more pronounced on this lens than it is on the Fuji. In bright light you can really get the full effect. This is the go to for that specific look and is especially effective with lots of light
